Student Life

CSU San Marcos is committed to a student-centered focus. The campus is a gathering place for more than eighty student organizations, three sororities and two fraternities, multicultural programs, wellness programs, and an active student government, Associated Students Inc. (ASI). ASI offers recreation, intramural and club sports programs, and co-sponsors campus-wide events.  Students will find a variety of concerts, exhibits, and lectures on and near the campus.  The campus will opened the new Center for Children & Families in fall 2007 which provides additional on-campus childcare and opportunities for students to gain field experience with children.

The campus intercollegiate athletics program currently includes teams in golf, track, cross country, soccer, baseball and softball.  Teams compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

CSU San Marcos offers an unparalleled on-campus living experience for students. University Village Apartments houses more than 600 students in two and four bedroom apartments. Students and staff members, along with a Faculty in Residence, assist students in developing a dynamic living environment. Contact the Student and Life & Leadership Office for more information. The office also provides information and assistance for off-campus housing.
