ABOUT THE PROGRAM
According to the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities, "learning disabilities" is a "general term that refers to a heterogeneous group of disorders manifested by significant difficulties in the acquisition and use of listening, speaking, reading, writing, reasoning, or mathematical abilities." A learning disability is presumably due to central nervous system dysfunction, and is not primarily due to other handicapping conditions, environmental, or cultural influences. It is not a form of mental retardation, or an emotional disorder.
Institution accepts students according to the above definition: yes
Learning disabled program available: support services but no program
Services available to LD students:
diagnostic testing service, note-taking services, oral tests, readers, tutors, talking books, reading machines, tape recorders, learning center, extended time for tests, assistive technology lab.
LD students are tutored: individually and in small groups

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS FOR LD STUDENTS
Admission requirements for LD students are the same as those for other students: yes
Requirements that may be waived for LD students: Course requirements may be substituted based on disability and supporting documentation, usually in foreign language and/or math, but others considered on an individual basis.
Requirements for LD applicants: diagnostic test(s) are required, Documentation of disability required. If SAT or ACT scores are low due to the learning disability, members of the Admissions Committee will take that into consideration.
An essay is required: no
Untimed tests are accepted: yes
