Georgia Highlands College is a non-residential two-year unit of the University System of Georgia. The  Office of Admissions is your initial contact for information about Georgia Highlands College and entry into any of our degree programs.

Georgia Highlands College is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  We welcome your application for one of our transfer or career programs.  

Types of Programs Offered by Georgia Highlands College

Georgia Highlands College offers educational programs in the following areas:

  • Transfer programs for students planning to continue their education at a four-year institution.
  • Career programs to prepare students for employment after completion of the Georgia Highlands College Degree.
  • Cooperative programs which prepare students for employment after completion of the cooperative degree program with Georgia Highlands College and the technical college system of Georgia.
  • Continuing Education programs designed for professional improvement and/or personal development.

    Applications for admission are available from the Office of Admissions and Records by calling 706-802-5000 or writing (3175 Cedartown Highway,  Rome, GA 30161). There is a $20.00 Application Fee.  You may also apply for admission using our on-line application. Specific requirements for admission will depend on the applicant's enrollment category and program of study.
